1. Zero Tolerance Policy

At OJ's White Bronco, we’re committed to maintaining competitive and active leagues. To ensure fairness and engagement, we’ve implemented a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Dead Teams or Inactive Teams: Consistent team management is mandatory.

  • Tanking: Intentionally losing games or neglecting your team isn’t allowed.

  • Trades for Money: Direct monetary exchanges for trades are prohibited.

2. The Pit League: Weekly Redemption

The Pit League is where underperforming or inactive teams compete for redemption. Starting Week 8, the following teams will be sent to the Pit League:

  1. Bottom 2 teams in the standings by win percentage (below .500).

  2. Dead or inactive teams flagged by league managers.

How to Enter the Pit League

  • Redraft Fee: All managers entering the Pit must pay a $10 redraft fee or opt for a $5 autodraft. Note that autodraft selections cannot be changed. This fee funds:

    • A fresh draft with new Pit League mates.

    • Entry into the Pit League prize pool.

  • Walk Away: Managers may choose to end their fantasy season, forfeiting their team in both the Pit and the main league.

3. Weekly Play in the Pit

  • Weekly Fee: Each week, managers in the Pit must pay a $10 weekly fee to compete in matchups. These fees are added to the Pit League prize pool.

4. How to Escape the Pit

  • Win Your Matchup: Winning your weekly Pit matchup gives the top-seeded Pit manager two options:

    1. Return to Your Original Team: Reclaim your main league team and resume play in the original league.

    2. Pay $50 to Take Over Another Pit Manager’s Main Team: Upgrade to a stronger team from another Pit manager. The Pit manager whose team is taken over will continue to fight in the Pit. If they also won their matchup, they can block this move. All other teams with winning matchups will return to their main leagues.

  • Lose Your Matchup: Losing keeps you in the Pit, where you can:

    • Continue paying the $10 weekly fee to play for redemption, OR

    • Walk Away: End your fantasy season, forfeiting your team in both the Pit and the main league.

5. Last Man Standing in the Pit

If you remain in the Pit until the end of the season as the Last Man Standing, you will receive 20% of the remaining Pit prize pool. The rest of the prize pool will be distributed to other designated league endeavors.

6. Elimination and Relegation Policy

Main league managers may vote to eliminate a team and relegate them to the auction block after they spend 3 weeks in the Pit. This only eliminates the team from the main league; they can still participate in weekly pay-to-play contests in the Pit, with the chance to steal another team as a top seed.

7. Special Pit League Rules: Trading with Pit Teams

  • Managers in the main league can trade with Pit League managers using the following process:

    1. Send a trade request as normal through the league platform.

    2. The League Manager (LM) will review the trade.

    3. The LM will inform the Pit manager (PM) of the trade request.

    4. If both parties agree, the main Team manager (TM) must pay an escalating trading fee based on the week:

      • Week 7: $25

      • Week 8: $30

      • Week 9: $40

      • Week 10 and beyond: $50

All trade fees collected go directly into the Mid-Season Challenge Pot and the Discord Game Night Pot or other official league endeavors.

Waiver Transactions:

Pit managers who wish to make waiver transactions for their main league team can do so by paying a $5 fee per transaction.

Auctioned Teams:

If a manager chooses to walk away, their team will be eliminated and handled as follows:

  • Main League Teams: The forfeited team will be closed and players auctioned off to the remaining managers in the main league via FAAB Bidding

  • Pit Teams: The top-seeded Pit manager can pay $50 to take over the forfeited team from the main league, providing an upgraded path out of the Pit.

Why These Rules Matter

  • Keeps the Competition Active: Weekly fees and matchups ensure that all managers remain accountable and engaged throughout the season, promoting a vibrant and competitive atmosphere.

  • Offers Strategic Options: The ability to walk away, trade with Pit teams, reclaim original teams, or upgrade to another manager’s team creates fresh dynamics and encourages participants to think strategically.

  • Enhances League Rewards: All fees collected (weekly fees, redrafts, trades, or takeovers) are reinvested into prizes, mid-season challenges, and community events, fostering a robust and rewarding league environment.
